Our Fraud Checking feature helps to identify potentially fraudulent transactions by checking and highlighting basic aspects of an order that may indicate risk, thus removing the need for time consuming manual checking processes. It indicates whether the delivery and billing address for an order do not match, a customer has placed previously failed transactions, if an order value is noticeably high, or if the customer is using a free email address. It also checks that a customer's IP address, delivery address and billing address are all within the UK. The feature also displays the results of the 3D Secure check conducted by a store's payment gateway provider (which should be regarded as the primary method for detecting fraudulent transactions).
