Enable customers to pay for items in instalments via Hitachi's consumer credit options.

This feature is the integration of Hitachi's consumer credit payment options into a store, which enables customers to apply to pay for items in instalments (at varied interest rates depending on the options provided by Hitachi).
As part of this feature, the available finance options are listed against finance-applicable products, and if a customer chooses to pay via a credit option, the feature prompts them to register with your store, choose their finance term, and pay a deposit through the your store. It then redirects them to Hitachi to complete an application for the selected finance term.
Orders are shown within your admin system with a status of 'Pending Finance Application’ until the customer completes their application, at which point it will be updated to 'Finance Application Accepted’, 'Finance Application Declined’ or 'Finance Application Referred’ (if further checks are required by Hitachi). If an application has been referred, once Hitachi has made their decision and updated the application accordingly, the order will be updated to 'Finance Application Accepted’ or 'Finance Application Declined’. Where finance applications are accepted, orders can be processed in the usual method and Hitachi will issue payment (as per your agreement), however where declined, you will need to make alternative payment arrangements with the customer or refund their deposit.
You're required to have an active account with Hitachi to enable this feature, and are responsible for any licence/registration/ongoing fees associated with the service provided by the third party. Also, when being integrated into a new store, this feature remains in test mode until the site is made live. For more information about Hitachi please go to:
Please note that if your store's primary payment gateway is provided by Barclaycard, due to its 'authenticate and capture' payment system we recommend that you check deposits have been received before dispatching orders.
This feature is not available on standalone mobile sites.
