This feature enables etailers to collect donations for Pennies, which supports numerous charities across the UK. It allows customers to opt-in to round up the cost of their order to the nearest pound at the checkout stage, and donate the difference. As part of the integration we add a banner to the checkout page promoting the donation opportunity, and when a site user clicks the banner a separate charge is added to their order - for example, a customer spending £19.25 would be charged an additional 75p. The feature sends weekly automatic notifications to Pennies detailing donation amounts, enabling the organisation to directly invoice the etailer for the donations (donations are not automatically transferred). Please note that to enable functionality of this feature, you must have a collection agreement in place with Pennies prior to integration.
