The Google Shopping Feed feature submits a daily feed of products to Google so they can be potentially featured in Product Listing Ads within the search engine's growing Shopping section. Etailers are able to tailor the feed as required within their store's admin system, but as default it sends data for all products.
As Google Shopping is a 'paid for inclusion' model, please note that only products that are part of Product Listing Ads (which etailers are charged for via a Google AdWords Account) can be displayed within Google Shopping. Also, please note that it's only possible to test this feature once it's active on a live site with products.
