Admin Controls

When you make changes to your online store, sometimes you won’t be able to instantly see those changes due to server-side caching, which is an industry-wide practice used to store copies of data for faster performance. Changes will show shortly afterwards once your store’s server periodically clears out its cache, however for the occasional instance when you need to see them immediately, we’ve developed client-facing Admin Controls.

With this feature, which is exclusively available to stores with a dedicated server, we add an option to your store’s admin system which enables you to notify your store’s server and request the latest files once you’ve made changes - this directly clears the server-side cache of your store and its admin system at a time that’s convenient to you. You can also view log files related to scheduled tasks, and re-index the website data as required.

Please note that we recommend that you only use this functionality when it’s essential, as frequently clearing the cache on your server can impede the performance of your store and admin system.
