For online retailers with larger profit margins, discounting can be an extremely effective way to generate more traffic to your store and ultimately convert more customers and increase long-term loyalty for your brand. In particular, time-sensitive discounts can create a sense of urgency among shoppers, encouraging them to place an order so they don’t miss out on a deal, and some studies even show that promo codes increase our levels of oxytocin - the hormone that makes us feel happy.
As there isn’t just one universal discount type that appeals to every kind of shopper, you can create multiple different offers on your store and have them running concurrently or simultaneously. In the case of the latter, you may wish to protect your profit margins by preventing shoppers from redeeming multiple live offers against single orders, which is why we’ve developed our Discount Interactions feature.
With this feature, via your store’s admin system you can specify which of your discount offers can or cannot be used together by customers while placing an order on your store. Where multiple discounts can be redeemed against a single order, you can also specify the order that the codes - and their subsequent discounts - should be applied.
