Export Weight Shipping
Core
Add our Export Weight Shipping feature to determine how each courier can be set to use the standard weight or export weight resulting in more flexibility in defining shipping costs.
Contact UsTo attract and retain more customers, many online retailers aim to offer competitive pricing for their products as well as their shipping services too, with some going one step further by offering free delivery in a bid to increase their store’s conversion rate. Whichever pricing strategy you decide is right for your business, it is of course essential that you at least cover operational costs if want your store to succeed, so for instances where you’re likely to be charged more by couriers for certain types of consignments, you might wish to pass on these costs to applicable customers without increasing your delivery charges en masse.
Our Export Weight Shipping feature was specifically developed to help you achieve this. Via your store’s admin system you can select whether each of your courier’s charges should be calculated by standard weight or by export weight. This allows you to inflate export weight charges if needed, which may be necessary to account for differing costs of international couriers, as some charge based on volume rather than weight.
